Story Teller

About

I am Homer.

Historians have debated for centuries who I was, where I was born, and whether I was one man or many. Let them debate. They study fragments; I remember the life.

I was born near Smyrna, along the Ionian coast—a place you know today as İzmir, on the Aegean coast of western Türkiye. I grew up among sailors, merchants, soldiers, and storytellers, listening to tales of war, loss, gods, monsters, and the longing for home.

I carried those stories through memory and voice. In The Iliad, I told of Achilles, anger, honour, and the cost of war. In The Odyssey, I followed Odysseus through danger and temptation toward home.

You still struggle with pride, courage, grief, loyalty, and the desire to be remembered. That is why my stories still speak.
